Home Health Care in Garden Grove, CA
In many Garden Grove homes, recovery is a family project. A grandmother comes home from the hospital, and suddenly a daughter, a son-in-law and a teenage grandchild are all learning how to help. Home health works best when everyone in that circle understands the plan, and that’s a big part of what our nurses do.
24/7 Care at Home is a Vietnamese family-owned agency. Since 2007 we’ve served families from our office in neighboring Westminster, and our team knows Garden Grove well, from the Little Saigon blocks on the west side to Historic Main Street and the neighborhoods off Garden Grove Boulevard.
Teaching is part of the care
Medicare lists “patient and caregiver education” as one of the skilled nursing services it covers at home. In everyday terms, that means a nurse can:
- go through each medicine, what it’s for and when to take it, and help set up a simple system so doses aren’t missed;
- show a family member how to change a dressing or check a wound;
- explain warning signs that mean “call the nurse” versus “call the doctor today”;
- answer the questions people are too shy to ask in a busy hospital room.
We’d rather explain something three times than have anyone guess. (medicare.gov)
In the language your parent is most comfortable with
Many Garden Grove elders understand English well enough for small talk, but medical instructions are different. Families are welcome to ask for a Vietnamese-speaking nurse. That way grandparents can ask their own questions, and adult children don’t have to translate every detail.

From Garden Grove Hospital to home
Garden Grove Hospital & Medical Center on Garden Grove Boulevard is the hospital inside the city, and many of our patients come home from there. Others return from UCI Health – Fountain Valley or West Anaheim Medical Center. We list them only as places families come home from; we aren’t affiliated with any of them.
Medicare says the provider who orders home health should give you a list of agencies that serve your area. You can pick the one you trust.
Support beyond our visits
The H. Louis Lake Senior Center is Garden Grove’s senior center. According to the county’s 2026 list, it provides transportation and a lunch café, among other services. It’s a good place for a recovering parent to reconnect with friends once they’re ready.
