Home Health Care in Huntington Beach, CA

Huntington Beach is a long city. It stretches from Huntington Harbour in the north to the neighborhoods near the pier and Main Street downtown, then inland past Huntington Central Park. Wherever your parent lives in it, the weeks after a hospital stay for a serious illness can feel uncertain. Is this new tiredness normal? Should we worry about the swelling? Having a nurse who checks in regularly takes a lot of that guesswork away.

24/7 Care at Home is a Vietnamese family-owned home health agency. Our office is in Westminster, right next door, and we’ve been caring for Orange County families since 2007.

A nurse who keeps an eye on things

One of the skilled nursing services Medicare covers at home is monitoring a serious illness and an unstable health status. For many Huntington Beach families, that’s the heart of home health. On a typical visit, a nurse may:

  • check blood pressure, heart rate, breathing and weight;
  • ask how sleep, appetite and energy have been;
  • look at legs and feet for swelling, and skin for changes;
  • review medicines and any side effects;
  • report concerns to your doctor, who directs the care plan.

What families can track between visits

Our nurses often leave a simple log on the kitchen counter. Writing down a few things each day helps the nurse and the doctor see patterns:

  • daily weight, if the doctor asked for it;
  • any new shortness of breath, dizziness or confusion;
  • how much your loved one is eating and drinking;
  • questions that come up, so they’re ready for the next visit.

When something seems off, you don’t have to wait. A real person answers our phones day and night.

Hospitals near Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach Hospital on Beach Boulevard is inside the city. Many residents also come home from UCI Health – Fountain Valley or MemorialCare Orange Coast Medical Center just to the north. We name them only as places families come home from. We’re an independent agency, not part of any hospital.

Senior Center in Central Park

Huntington Beach’s Senior Center in Central Park is one of the county’s larger senior centers. The county’s 2026 list notes transportation, fitness, support groups and a lunch café. It’s a good place for a gentle return to routine once someone’s health is steadier.
