Home Health Care in Tustin, CA
Some recoveries are mostly about strength. Others are about words, swallowing and finding your way back to everyday routines. After a stroke or a long hospital stay, a Tustin parent might struggle to find the right word, to swallow comfortably, or to get dressed without help. Therapy at home, in familiar rooms, can make those first weeks less frightening.
24/7 Care at Home is a Vietnamese family-owned home health agency based in Westminster. We’ve cared for Orange County families since 2007, and our clinicians visit homes throughout Tustin, from Old Town Tustin to Tustin Ranch and the newer neighborhoods at Tustin Legacy.
Three kinds of therapy, one plan
Medicare’s home health benefit can include all three when your provider orders them and you meet the conditions:
- Speech-language pathology. Work on speech, understanding, memory strategies and, when needed, swallowing safety.
- Physical therapy. Balance, walking and getting in and out of bed or a chair safely.
- Occupational therapy. Everyday tasks like dressing, bathing and preparing a simple meal, often with small changes to the home.
Your provider must first order occupational therapy along with nursing, physical therapy or speech-language pathology. After that, it can continue on its own. (medicare.gov)
Practicing where life happens
Therapy at home has one big advantage: the practice is real. A speech therapist can work with the family on how to talk with someone who is struggling to find words. A physical therapist can practice the actual walk from bedroom to kitchen. Family members learn alongside, so practice keeps going between visits.
Hospitals near Tustin
Foothill Regional Medical Center on Newport Avenue is Tustin’s hospital. Many Tustin residents also come home from UCI Health – Orange or Providence St. Joseph Hospital in the City of Orange. We mention them only as places families return from. We aren’t affiliated with any hospital.
The Tustin Area Senior Center
The Tustin Area Senior Center in Old Town is a valuable stop for families. According to the county’s 2026 list, it offers recreational classes, transportation, technology help and a lunch café. Social time and conversation are good practice too, once someone is ready.

Tustin questions
How soon after a stroke can therapy start at home? As soon as your doctor orders it and your loved one is home. Care can often start within 24 hours of the referral. Tell the hospital’s case manager before discharge that you want home health, so the order goes out on time.
Can family sit in on therapy sessions? Please do. Family members who watch and practice tend to remember the exercises and the communication tips, and they can keep things going between visits.
