Home Health Care in Buena Park, CA
A lot of Buena Park families come to us with the same hope: “Can someone stay with Mom during the day now that she’s home?” It’s a fair question, and the honest answer matters. Home health is skilled, visit-based care. It’s very good at helping someone heal, but it isn’t a full-time caregiver. Knowing the difference early saves a lot of stress later.
24/7 Care at Home is a Vietnamese family-owned home health agency. We’ve worked out of our Westminster office since 2007, and Buena Park is a straight drive up Beach Boulevard for our clinicians, who visit neighborhoods near Ralph B. Clark Regional Park, along Orangethorpe Avenue and around Knott’s Berry Farm.
What home health can do
When a doctor orders it and you qualify, Medicare’s home health benefit can bring:
- part-time or intermittent skilled nursing, such as wound care, injections, or checking on a serious illness;
- physical, occupational and speech-language therapy;
- medical social services;
- a home health aide for bathing, grooming or help walking, as long as skilled care is happening at the same time.
What Medicare says it won’t pay for
According to medicare.gov, the home health benefit does not pay for:
- 24-hour-a-day care at home;
- home meal delivery;
- homemaker services, like shopping and cleaning, that aren’t part of the care plan;
- custodial or personal care, like help bathing or dressing, when that is the only care you need.
None of this means you’re on your own. It means the plan usually has two parts: skilled visits from us, and day-to-day support from family and the community. (medicare.gov)
Filling the gaps in Buena Park
The Buena Park Senior Activity Center on Knott Avenue is a real help here. According to the county’s 2026 senior center list, it offers a lunch café, a food distribution program and transportation, alongside classes for adults 50 and up. Once your loved one is steady enough to get out, a weekday lunch with other people can do as much for recovery as any exercise sheet.
The Orange County Office on Aging can also point families to meal programs and in-home support across the county.
Hospitals Buena Park families come home from
Patients in Buena Park often come home after a stay at La Palma Intercommunity Hospital, West Anaheim Medical Center, or Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton. We list them only so you can picture the path home. We’re an independent agency, not part of any hospital.
