Home Health Care in Stanton, CA

Stanton is our next-door neighbor. The city is compact, tucked between Westminster, Garden Grove, Anaheim and Cypress, with neighborhoods along Beach Boulevard, Katella Avenue and Cerritos Avenue and the open lawns of Stanton Central Park. For our team, it’s a short drive, and we visit Stanton homes often.

24/7 Care at Home is a Vietnamese family-owned home health agency. We’ve served Orange County families from our Westminster office since 2007.

The question we hear most in Stanton

“Can someone help Dad shower?” After a hospital stay, bathing is often the first thing that feels unsafe. Medicare’s home health benefit can include a home health aide, and it’s worth understanding how that works.

What a home health aide does

According to medicare.gov, part-time or intermittent aide care can include help with:

  • walking;
  • bathing or grooming;
  • changing bed linens;
  • feeding.

The rule that matters

Medicare covers aide visits only if you’re also getting skilled care at the same time: skilled nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech-language pathology. Aide help on its own, when that’s the only care someone needs, is considered custodial or personal care, and Medicare’s home health benefit doesn’t pay for it. (medicare.gov)

So a typical Stanton care plan might pair a nurse or therapist visiting a couple of times a week with an aide who comes to help with a shower. When the skilled care ends, aide visits under the benefit end too, and we’ll talk with you ahead of time about what comes next.

Coming home to Stanton

Stanton has no hospital of its own. Our Stanton patients often come home from Garden Grove Hospital & Medical Center or West Anaheim Medical Center, both a few minutes away. We list them only as places families return from; we’re an independent agency.

Community support

The Stanton Community/Civic Center on Katella Avenue is where the city runs its senior services. The county’s 2026 senior center list notes recreational activities, transportation and a lunch café there. It’s an easy outing once your loved one is moving around comfortably.

Stanton questions

Can the aide come every day? Aide visits are part-time and follow the care plan your doctor approves. Under Medicare’s part-time or intermittent rule, skilled nursing and aide time together usually stay under 8 hours a day and 28 hours a week. Most people need far less than that, often a few visits a week.

Dad lives with us in a two-story house. Can the aide help with stairs? An aide can help with walking, and a physical therapist can teach the safest way to handle stairs and decide whether it makes sense to set up a bedroom downstairs for a while.
